Notation software

Sibelius 7 is available on 3 sit down workstations and one laptop computer

Create, edit and print musical scores. Sibelius supports virtually all music notations, enabling even the most complex of scores (such as modern orchestral music) to be reproduced to publication quality. Further, it allows scores to be played back or turned into MIDI or audio files, e.g., to create a CD. A large range of sampled sounds and built-in sample player are included. Sibelius supports any MIDI device.

Finale is available on 3 sit down worstations and one laptop computer

Create, edit, audition, print, and publish the widest variety of musical scores. Finale also offers breathtakingly realistic music playback, and more ways to share music with others. Today’s Finale represents the latest evolution in music notation software, making Finale’s signature freedom and flexibility easy for everyone to use.

Midi keyboard

The library also has a USB Midi keyboard to aid in the task of note entry.
